Educational Objectives
  -Define and identify features of psychosis from patient history, mental status examination, and collateral information.
-List positive and negative symptoms of psychosis.
-Develop a differential diagnosis for a patient presenting with psychosis.
-Describe the evidence-based diagnostic evaluation for first episode psychosis (FEP).
-Apply DSM-5/ICD-11 diagnostic criteria to compare and contrast the following disorders:
     1. Schizophrenia
     2. Schizoaffective Disorder
     3. Schizophreniform Disorder
     4. Brief Psychotic Disorder
     5. Delusional Disorder
     6. Mood Disorder with Psychotic Features
     7. Psychotic Disorder Due to Another Medical Condition
     8. Substance/Medication-Induced Psychotic Disorder
-List evidence-based pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment options for psychosis.
-Describe the pharmacologic mechanism of action, common side effects, and monitoring parameters for antipsychotic pharmacotherapy.
-Compare and contrast first- (typical) and second-generation (atypical) antipsychotic medications.
