Upon completion of this module, learners should be able to:

1.State the diagnostic criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD).
2. Describe assessments for ASD and IDD.
3. Formulate a differential diagnosis.
4. List common medical comorbidities for individuals presenting with symptoms of ASD or IDD.
5. Describe the general medical workup and medication considerations for individuals presenting with ASD and IDD.
6. Explore psychosocial and pharmacological treatments used in these populations.
7. Identify academic and community resources available to provide support to families.
8. Understand the importance of planning for the transition into adulthood for patients and families.
